One of the originals, as is it's namesake from THE original Shamshiri located in Tehran famouse Bazar. Great menu options serving all the Persian favorite stews, rice dishes, side, appetizers and kabobs. Generous portions and very good kabobs served with grilled onions, bell pepper, and tomatoes. We ordered tahdig (crispy rice) with two stews, ghormeh sabzi and gheime bademjoon. Both very absolutely delicious! For our main dishes, we ordered the koobideh (ground beef), barg (marinated filet mignon), and lamb kabob. All perfectly prepared and delicious. Don't miss out on the house dugh (yogurt drink). The hot tea was fragrant, hot and hits the spot after a heavy meal. For dessert we ordered bameeye which is a fried dough drenched in a sweet rose water syrup. A perfect sweet bit to end our meal. The service was very attentive and professional. Grace was our server and she did a great job helping us make the perfect choices. The restaurant is due for a makeover as it needs a clean upgrade.

You can never go wrong with Shamshiri, food is always delicious. The staff is very attentive. Casual and relaxing environment. Parking could be an issue but we always park in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.

Oh God, you must come to Shamshiri Grill for the Lamb Shank, or you will not know what you are missing out on. Dipped in some nice Arab type of sauce and Rosemary, I cannot think of the name of it, I apologize for that. But it is to die for if you like Lamb. I also like the Rice Basmati plate too. Nice little restaurant setting inside. Nice people , good food. My second time here, so we had fun.
